Before Glossa can transcribe anything, your browser needs permission to access your audio input. Chrome will usually ask the first time you start a stream, but if you accidentally blocked it (or want to check), here's how to grant access.

How to grant microphone access in Chrome

  1. Open Glossa in Chrome and go to your service
  2. Look for the microphone icon on the left side of the address bar, or click the small slider or tune icon there
  3. Find the Microphone option and set it to Allow
  4. If you don't see a prompt, click the three dots in the top right, go to Settings, then Privacy and security, then Site settings, then Microphone
  5. Make sure Glossa is listed under the allowed sites
  6. Refresh the page so the new permission takes effect

Once permission is granted, you'll be able to select your audio input from the dropdown inside Glossa. If your input isn't showing up, double check it's plugged in and recognized by your computer, then refresh.
