Once your source language is set, your audio is connected, and your languages are enabled, you're ready to run your first service. Here's the full flow from start to finish.

How to run a service
  1. Open Glossa in Chrome on a laptop or desktop (streaming works best from a computer, not a phone)
  2. Open your service and confirm your source language is correct
  3. Select your audio input from the dropdown and check your levels
  4. Make sure the right translation languages are enabled
  5. Display or hand out your QR code so the congregation can connect
  6. Press start, and Glossa will begin transcribing and translating in real time

What to expect

There's a natural delay of about 2 to 5 seconds. Glossa waits for a sentence to finish before translating it, which keeps the translation accurate. This is normal and expected. If you notice a longer delay, it's usually because the speaker is moving very fast or using long sentences without pauses. Brief pauses between sentences and a moderate pace help the translation keep up.

When the service ends

Stop the stream once your service is over. If you leave a stream running with spoken audio but no listeners connected, it can still count toward your usage, so stopping promptly keeps your billing clean.
