Choosing your source language

Tell Glossa what language your speaker is using so it can transcribe accurately.

Glossa uses AI to transcribe what your speaker says and then translate it in real time. Before any of that can happen, it needs to know which language is being spoken from the front. Setting this correctly is the single biggest thing you can do for translation quality, because everything downstream depends on a clean, accurate transcription.

This is the language going in (what the pastor speaks), not the languages your congregation will hear. You'll set those separately.
How to choose your source language
  1. Log in to your Glossa dashboard
  2. Open the service you want to configure
  3. Find the Source language setting
  4. Select the language your speaker will be using from the dropdown
  5. Save your changes
If your speaker switches languages partway through a service, you can change this mid-stream. Stop the stream, change the source language in the dashboard, then restart the stream. Your listeners will feel only a few seconds of delay, and they do not need to reconnect or rescan anything.
