Checking your audio levels
Make sure Glossa is hearing your speaker clearly before you go live.

A few minutes of checking your levels before the service starts will save you a lot of trouble. If the audio coming into Glossa is too quiet, too loud, or full of background noise, the transcription will struggle and the translation will follow it. Good input equals good output.
- In your service, select the correct audio input from the dropdown
- Have your speaker talk at a normal volume, the way they will during the service
- Watch the audio indicator to confirm Glossa is picking up the signal
- Aim for a clear, steady level that responds when the speaker talks and settles when they pause
- If the signal looks weak or absent, check your cabling and that the right input is selected
Tips for the cleanest signal
- A direct line from the soundboard almost always beats a microphone in the room
- Keep a consistent mic technique and a moderate speaking pace
- Watch for double audio, which happens when Glossa picks up the same source twice (for example, both a direct line and a room mic). Use a single clean input to avoid this.
