Voice Cloning

What it is

Voice cloning lets the live translation be spoken in your speaker's own voice. Instead of Glossa's standard AI voice, your congregation hears the translated message in a voice that carries the pastor's own vocal character, so his presence comes through even in another language.

Which plan includes it

Voice cloning is available on the Advanced plan, alongside integrations and custom branding.

Why churches use it

The default translation voice is natural and clear, but it does not carry the speaker's tone or pitch. Voice cloning preserves those characteristics, so the translated audio feels personal and familiar rather than like a neutral narrator. For many congregations, hearing something close to their own pastor's voice helps the message land with more warmth.

Setting it up

There are two parts: creating your custom voice once, then selecting it for a service.


Part 1: Create your custom voice

1. Go to the Account tab.
2. Open Settings.
3. Find the Voice Management subsection.
4. Record a 30 second audio sample, then create your custom voice.

Part 2: Use your voice in a service

1. On the service streaming page, before you start the stream, open Advanced Settings (just below the Start Streaming button).
2. Go to the Voice Management tab.
3. Select your newly created voice.
4. Open View Translation to listen and confirm the translation is playing in your custom voice.

Once selected, your translation will play in that voice for the service.

Tips for the best result

• Record your 30 second sample in a quiet space with clear, natural speech. The cleaner the sample, the better the voice.


• Preview with View Translation before your service begins, so you know it sounds the way you want.


• Voice cloning changes the voice of the translation only. It does not change what Glossa can transcribe, so sung worship music still cannot be captured, the same as with the standard voice.

Frequently asked:

Do listeners need to do anything different?
No. They still scan the QR code and choose their language. The only difference is the voice they hear.

Does it work in every language?
Voice cloning applies to the translated audio your listeners hear, across Glossa's supported languages. If you have a specific language in mind, reach out and we will confirm.
